PageSpy

PageSpy

Give it a url and it scans the page, then groups everything it found by element type in a tree. Each node carries the text, the placeholder, the value, the link or source, and the css that would find it again, which is the part you came for: a selector read off the page rather than guessed at and tried. The filter re-renders from what was already found, so narrowing the view costs nothing and never re-scans. Hide Browser is on by default and uses Get rather than GoTo, so the scan runs headless unless you want to watch it. Urls you visit are kept beside the exe, twenty deep.

NOTE

One scan feeding a tree that regroups itself on demand, so the expensive half happens once. It is also the fastest way to answer the question every workflow starts with: what is actually on this page, and what will find it.

Features

  • Scan any page for elements: grouped by type, with text, placeholder, value, link and css on every node.
  • Copy a selector straight out: the css shown is the css that finds it again in a workflow.
  • Filter without re-scanning: the tree rebuilds from the results already held.
  • Headless by default: Hide Browser uses Get instead of GoTo, so nothing has to appear on screen.
  • Url history beside the exe: the last twenty, so the site you are working on is one click away tomorrow.
